Android or iPhone: Guidelines to help you decide

Android or iPhone: Guidelines to help you decide

The iPhone 5 is finally a released. And now we have to see how its stack up against current Android smartphones.
Apple always lives up to its reputation of going big when it comes to launching its new products. When Apple had launched its iPhone 4S last year, no one knew anything about the new phone. The whole world was watching and waiting, ultimately they were pleasingly astonished with what they saw.
However, Android technology is open to use and anyone can use it to develop applications. The flexibility of Android platform makes it more suitable to the operating system to have this as a foundation for smartphones. The only necessity is Android development kit accessibility to bring any change in it.
If you are looking for a new smartphone, choosing an iPhone or Android phone is very difficult task for anyone. While both phones offer a lot of great features, they may seem so similar that it’s hard to distinguish between them. Here we are discussing some important guidelines which will help you to decide which Smartphone to go for… iPhone or Android?
1. Using Mac or Windows?
Do you like Windows experience, or do you wish for Macintosh environment designed with precision? Android should be your first preference if you like to explore and get into the depths of your gadget. If you want a hassle free device, you should go for iOS.
2. Using Google environments already?
If you already have Google solutions for your day to day use in your PC, then Android is going to be a more flawless experience for you. We are not saying that the iOS Google experience is restricted, but it just makes sense if you have put all your stuff into the same basket, that a phone designed around Android will bring you more pleasing experience than one built by their competition.

3. Which Platform your friend circle is using? Is it iOS or Android environment?
There are lots of application like Evernote, Dropbox, and even Words which does not care if your friend is on mobile or tablet, Android or iOS. But each platform has distinctive differentiators. If your friends are using Facetime, then you will be left out if you have a 4G LTE Android device.
4. Using your device as BYOD on your corporate network to access company email or other stuff?
If so, the decision may already be made for you. Make sure to check with your IT team to see if they have policies on which devices are supported.
5. Experience with Viruses, Spams, and Malwares in your device?
If you are having virus and malware issues in your device constantly which make you visit your local IT guru to fix your infected PC, then there are chances that the same things are going to be with your smartphone world. In that case, you should probably go with an iOS device.
If you gave up your Windows because of constant malware infections and you love your new Mac because it has never let you down, don’t go Android.
6. You have interest in Programming?
The language of choice for iPhone development is Objective-C. Objective-C is a language based on C with extensions for object-oriented concepts, such as classes, inheritance, interfaces, messages, dynamic typing, etc. The Java language is used when developing for Android. Java is a no-brainer. I have to say that it’s nice not to have to learn a new language to target mobile.
According to the experts, Java is competitively easy and insightful programming tool. Android programming tutorials are straight and stable in accordance with the layout. Due to the fact, Android application development would be easier for a newcomer compare to iPhone development.
